Meet Eve Wright, CPDT-KA
Certified Professional Dog Trainer | Behavior Consultant | Amazon Bestselling Author
Hi, I’m Eve—the founder of Practically Positive Dog Training. With over 15 years of hands-on experience and a CPDT-KA certification, I specialize in helping dogs and their people move from chaos to connection using kind, science-backed strategies.
I’m also the author of the Amazon Best New Release How to Train Your Dog the Practically Positive Way—a guide for real-world dog owners looking for practical, compassionate tools that work.
“When we replace punishment with understanding, chaos becomes clarity—and learning becomes love.”
My Philosophy
At Practically Positive, we follow the Humane Hierarchy of Behavior Change and embrace the LIFE (Least Intrusive, Functionally Effective) model. That means no force, no fear—just thoughtful training grounded in behavior science and tailored to your dog’s needs.
Training should feel good—for both ends of the leash.

I bring over 15 years of hands-on experience in dog training and behavior consulting—and just as much time geeking out over the science behind why dogs do what they do.
I’m a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which means I’ve passed rigorous testing, logged hundreds of hours in the field, and follow a strict code of ethics grounded in humane, evidence-based methods.
But I don’t stop at certifications—I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for the intersection of animal behavior, cognition, and welfare. My academic background includes:
Master of Science in Animal Health and Behavior
Unity Environmental University (in progress)Bachelor’s in Animal Science
Unity Environmental UniversityAnimal Behavior & Welfare
University of Edinburgh (Coursera/verified certificate)Dog Emotion and Cognition
Duke University (Coursera/verified certificate)
These programs have deepened my understanding of canine emotion, cognition, learning theory, and species-specific welfare—all of which I apply in real-life training sessions with dogs and their humans every day.
I specialize in working with families, rescues, reactive and anxious dogs, and clients who want training that’s not just effective, but ethical and empathetic.
Based in Bremen, Georgia
Serving West Georgia, East Alabama, and the Metro Atlanta area—both in-person and virtually.
Whether you’re raising a puppy, building trust with a rescue, or navigating reactivity, I’m here to help—with Chaos & Compassion at the core of everything I do.
Training Doesn’t Have to Be Scary—For You or Your Dog
Whether you’ve got a leash-dragger, a door-buster, a non-stop barker, or a clever chaos gremlin who just needs a little direction—we’re here to make dog training clear, kind, and custom-fit to your real life.
At Practically Positive, we blend compassion, evidence-based methods, and just the right amount of humor to help you and your dog build trust, not tension.
What We Help With (a.k.a. the Chaos We Calm):
Leash Pulling – Learn how to walk together, not just get dragged along.
Jumping – Teach greetings that won’t knock over Grandma.
Barking – Understand what your dog’s trying to say—and teach them better ways to say it.
Anxiety & Reactivity – Gentle, science-backed behavior change that helps sensitive dogs feel safer.
Puppy Training – From potty accidents to puppy zoomies, we help you raise a confident, well-mannered pup without the overwhelm.
Obedience Titles & Trick Training – Whether you’re eyeing that CGC or just want to show off a little, we’ve got you.
And yes—we work with the wonderfully weird ones too:
Task training for home and helper dogs
Reptile-safe dogs (yep, that’s a thing here)
Separation anxiety & home-alone help
Custom behavior solutions you won’t find in a group class
If you’re looking for puppy training in Bremen, obedience training in Bremen, or just someone who gets that your dog is a lot, but also a lot of awesome—you’re in the right place.
Let’s turn the chaos into connection. Compassionately.
